Deux bogs

The plumber arrived at 7.45 on Monday morning. After he had finished drilling a hole in the side of the bath, he told me that the tap wouldn’t fit because the bath was too thick. Thanks mate. He also said we couldn’t have a freestanding tap because then he wouldn’t be able to get the pipes underneath it. Back to the drawing board on the tap front and the start of a (still ongoing) search for another tap. Anyhow, by 3pm he had finished fitting the loo and the sink so we now have deux bogs which is great :). No mention of what he was going to do with the shower, and I think that might have to go back to the drawing board again, too. Thank goodness for AngloInfo’s classifieds as I don’t doubt we will be able to sell what we’ve got that won’t do whilst I continue to hunt for something else.

We went to Montrol-Senard today, searching for a geocache. We couldn’t find the cache, but it’s a lovely little village with some of the buildings being kept as they were in the early 1900’s – the single-room school with a stove in the centre, a bakery with a massive bread oven, farriers, cider-press… and glorious sunshine.

  1. I once went to a pub that had a placard outside saying: Grand Opening! Posh new bogs! I do hope you will be having a ceremony! Enjoy having one each.
